Hungarian Potato casserole (Rakott Krumpli)

This is an old Hungarian family recipe which has been made easier by using simply potatoes. I never have left overs when I make it.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 Package home style potato slices
6 sliced  hard-boiled eggs
1 cup left over ham diced(ham can be omitted to make the dish vegetarian)
1/2 cup sour cream
bread crumbs
butter
Hungarian sweet paprika
DIRECTIONS
Preperation


Pre heat oven to 350'


Choose a baking dish that will hold the potatoes in about 3 layers


*make a layer of potatoes in a buttered casserole dish


add 1/2 of the Sliced hard boiled eggs


1/2 the ham both scattered over potatoes and eggs


add a dollop of sour cream


sprinkle with paprika *repeat a second time,


then end with third layer of potato.. Cover top with bread crumbs and dot with butter sprinkle top with paprika.


Bake at 350 for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until bread crumbs are browned and casserole is bubbling.
