Chipotle chili pepper adds its smoky flavor and heat to these grilled chicken skewers. Served either as an appetizer or as a main dish, the chicken is great with Sweet and Tangy Mustard Sauce.
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick Gourmet Collection Chipotle Chile Pepper
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet Collection Paprika
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet Collection Oregano Leaves
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet Collection Garlic Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet Collection Ground Cumin
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
Cut the chicken into 1-inch wide strips. Combine the seasonings and brown sugar; mix well. Evenly rub each chicken strip with the seasoning mixture until completely coated.
Thread the chicken in a zigzag fashion onto skewers. Spray each strip thoroughly with nonstick cooking spray.
Grill over medium heat or broil 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with Sweet and Tangy Mustard Sauce.
