i got this recipe from my mom who i think got it from her mom and maybe my great grandma. it's quick and easily prepared. ovens differ that's why you have to check it for doneness. it's a hit at family dinners, and i'm always asked to make it.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 tbs butter
2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
2tbs flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
2 cans drained corn
DIRECTIONS
preheat oven to 350

blend together in a large bowl: butter, sugar, eggs, flour, salt & milk.

drain corn set aside.

butter a 9" square, 3" tall, corning ovenware container, bottom and sides.

after stirring above ingredients together add drained corn, mix once more then pour into corning container.

if you have any raw bacon in the fridge, you can lay strips of it on top, it's not a requirement it just adds a little more flavor.

put your corning on the middle rack/center of the oven and let cook for 45min or until the top is brown and it pulls away from the sides.

test by putting a knife down into it, if it isn't wet then it's done, if it is leave it in another 5 min.

Great!
I love this dish. Instead of 2 cans of corn and sugar...I use 1 can of regular corn and 1 of cream of corn.
