Lentil stew recipe from my German mother! One of my favorites German dishes ever. Pour over spaetzle, noodles, or rice.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 lb. Lentils (soaked overnight)
smoked bacon, cubed
carrots
potatoes
salt/pepper
2 bouillon cubes
1 Tablespoon flour dissolved in 1/4 c water
Apple cider vinegar
red wine
DIRECTIONS
Cook starred ingredients for about 45 min. in the water lentils were soaked in.


Add flour/water mix, vinegar, and wine


Cook for another 15-20 min.


Serve over noodles, spaetzle, rice, etc. Add more vinegar to taste.
