Vegetable Soup

Great for any time, especially on cold days and perfect for when feeling under the weather. Cornbread goes well with this soup.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 large frozen package mixed vegetables
1/2 package frozen, cut green beans
1/2 package frozen lima beans
4 medium potatoes, peeled (or not) and diced
1 can English sweet peas, drained
1/2-1 bag shredded fresh cole slaw (raw, no dressing)
1-2 small cans tomato sauce (enough to make soup red)
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. dried celery flakes
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 medium onion, diced
pepper to taste
salt to taste (add only after finished cooking soup)
DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients except cole slaw and salt in large pot, just cover vegetables with water and bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking until potatoes are nearly done, then add cole slaw to pot. Allow to finish cooking until cole slaw is wilted and potatoes are done. May need to add more water as it cooks down. Add salt to taste after soup finishes cooking.
