Ameretto Balls

This is a requested Christmas/holiday candy recipe.
½ cup Butter (1 stick)
3 lbs powdered sugar
1 ½ cup Ameretto
1 ½ cup finely chopped nuts (almonds)
1 stick paraffin*(1/4 lb)
1 bag chocolate chips*(2 cups)
Soak nuts in Ameretto overnight or at least 8 hours.

Cream butter with 1 lb of powdered sugar. Mix in Ameretto, almonds and rest of powdered sugar.

Form into balls and chill until completely firm.(I put them in the freezer to get them frozen)

Chocolate Dip:

Melt chips and paraffin in a double boiler.

Dip chilled Ameretto balls and set on foil to set up.

Keep in a cool place.

* I mix different chocolates as well as chips to about 3/4 the paraffin that it is calling for. That is just my preference.
