Baked Beans with Molasses and Weenies

My mom used to fix this - I believe its budget food! Its great during the winter or portable to take to BBQ's
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
Large can prepared Beans with sauce (baked, Bush's, Pork and Beans)
4-6 wieners - cut into 1' segments
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dark molasses
2 Tblspoon dried onion flakes
1/4 tspoon ground garlic
3 strips bacon cut in half
DIRECTIONS
Combine beans all ingredients except bacon into large casserole dish. Add some water if too thick.


Stir well to break up brown sugar.


Pat ingredients evenly. Top with Bacon.


Cook 375 for about 45 minutes or until bacon looks done.


Can substitute Maple Syrup for molasses.

Good, but needed some changes for my daughter
I have a picky eater in my home, and the first batch was just too sweet for her tastes. So, I double the recipe on everything EXCEPT for the molasses. And I use just a single package of hot dogs - Ball Park BEEF Franks work the best. I also quickly drain the liquid off the beans. But other than that, we LOVE it! Thank you for sharing this recipe!! :)
