Baked Brie with Pesto and Pine Nuts

Makes 8 (2 tablespoon) servings

This easy and elegant appetizer begins with the rich, smooth flavor of brie cheese, accented with a hint of garlic and the licorice-like basil flavor of McCormick Gourmet Collection Pesto Seasoning.


  • 1 round (8 ounces) brie cheese
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick Gourmet Collection Pesto Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • McCormick Ground Black Pepper
  • Assorted crackers


Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Using a sharp knife, trim the white rind off the top of the brie (top part only, leaving the sides and bottom intact). Place the brie in an 8- or 9-inch pie plate or ovenproof dish.

Mix the pesto seasoning with olive oil, pine nuts and garlic, if desired. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of the brie round (where the white rind was trimmed off). Sprinkle with black pepper to taste, if desired.

Bake 10 minutes or until the brie is warmed through. Serve immediately; surround with assorted crackers.
