Looking for a delicious side dish for the holidays? Tired of plain old mashed potatoes and gravy. Here are potatoes with a twist! Baked mashed potatoes with mozzerella and parmesiana cheese topped with seasoned breadcrumbs!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
4 lbs Russet Potatoes
1 Tbs Butter
1 C Whole Milk
1 Stick Butter
1 1/2 C Shredded Mozzerella Cheese
1 c Parmesiana Cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Tbs Seasoned Breadcrumbs
DIRECTIONS
Wash and peel 4 lbs potatoes. Place potatoes in pot and cover with cold water and cover. Bring water to a boil then reduce heat to medium and cook till potatoes are cooked. (If fork goes through them gently they are finished.) Drain out water from potatoes. Add milk, butter mozzerella, parmesan, salt and pepper to taste. Mash or blend until desired consistency. Spoon mashed potatoes into buttered 13 x 9 casserole dish. Top with seasoned breadcrumbs. Bake at 400 degrees in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until a light golden brown and cheeses have melted.
