Cleanest, easiest & tastiest way to eat corn "OFF" the cob!
12 ears fresh sweet corn
1/2 C. butter (no substitute!)
1 small can Carnation Evaporated Milk
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Husk & remove the silks from the corn. Into a large bowl or pan, cut the kernels off the cob and then with the back side of a butter knife, scrape the cobs to remove the "milk" from the corn. Place the prepared corn in a 9X9" or slightly larger baking dish. Cut butter into 4 pieces and lay on top of the corn. Pour the evaporated milk over all. Place in a 300 degree oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before serving.
