Beef and vegetableone dish meal

Delicious and nutritious, colorful meat casserole
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 cup chopped onion
1 large can stewed tomatos with herbs
2 cups cooked frozen peas
3 cups cooked fine egg noodles
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbls. white sugar
1 tbls. butter or margarine (or olive oil)
Brown ground beef and onion, drain fat

Cook noodles according to pkg. directions

Cook peas according to pkg directions

Drain liquid from tomatoes

Add sugar, salt, pepper and cumin to ground beef

Place cooked ground beef in large casserole dish

Layer toatos on top, then peas

Toss noodles with butter or margarine (or olive oil)

Place on top of peas. Cover and place in 325 oven for 15 min. or heated through. Can be served with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
