Margaritas are a popular cantina menu offering. Serve blended or shaken and poured over ice.
- 1 lime slice
- Margarita salt or kosher salt
- 2 fluid ounces anejo tequila
- 1 fluid ounces orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
- 1 fluid ounces lime juice, preferably fresh squeezed
- Ice cubes
Gently dampen the rim of a margarita glass with the lime slice. Dip the rim in a saucer of salt to coat.
In a blender or cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and a handful of ice cubes. Blend until smooth, or shake until chilled. Pour the margarita into the prepared glass, adding fresh ice if the margarita was shaken. Slip the lime slice on the rim of the glass and serve.
