Breakfast Sausage Quiche

Total Time:  1 Hour 10 Minutes
1/3 lb breakfast sausage cooked, drained and crumbled
1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
2 cups Half and Half
4 whole eggs
1 clove crushed garlic
1/4 tea white pepper
1/4 paprika
1/2 tea salt(may omit)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
Parsley for garnish
1 single layer prepared pie crust
Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Line 9 inch pie pan with pie crust

Mix, eggs and spices together well, add half and half and mix again.

Spread crumbled sausage evenly on unbaked pie shell, top with chopped onion and cheese.

Fill pie crust with egg mixture being careful not to over fill. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.

Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees then reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and continue baking 20 - 25 minutes until eggs have set. They will rise out of the shell slightly.

Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.

Serves 8

Note: Everything can be prepared a day or two before and assembled at the last minute prior to baking freeing up time for other jobs.
