This recipe evolved after I moved into a house with chestnut trees. If chestnuts are not readily available hazelnuts or walnuts (neither salted) could be substituted.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
Brussel Sprouts - one container fresh or 1/2 pound
Fresh chestnuts (cooked and shelled) or canned (drained
and rinsed)
3 - 4 TBL unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Clean and par boil brussel sprouts until knife inserts easily.

Cook and shell chestnuts or using canned, drain and rinse.

Melt butter in a large saute pan.

Add brussel sprouts and chestnuts swirling in the melted butter.

This is to heat the ingredients, do not overcook.

Salt and pepper to taste.
