Caramel-Nut Molten Pudding

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packaged ground hazelnuts
  • 1 2/3 cups condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-cup baking dish. Sift flour into bowl, stir in hazelnuts. Place condensed milk in saucepan and stir over moderate heat for 10 minutes, or until thickened and slightly golden brown.

Stir in butter, vanilla and milk until butter is melted. Let cool slightly. Pour milk mixture into flour and mix well. Pour batter into prepared dish. Sift brown sugar over top of pudding mixture. Carefully pour boiling water evenly over top of pudding. Bake in oven for about 35 minutes, or until firm. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
