Cheese Crackers

Makes 4 dozen


  • 1 pound sharp cheddar or aged Swiss, finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika


Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Using an electric mixer, beat the cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce and hot red pepper sauce in a large bowl until smooth. In a separate bowl, toss the flour and seasonings with a fork. Gradually add to the cheese mixture. Mix until the dough holds together. Shape the dough into small logs.

Place the dough in a cookie press and press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Remove and cool on rack.
