Cheesy, Cheesy Mac and Cheese with Peas

This one happened by accident. Misread an old recipe and ended up doubling the amount of cheese. It was really close to classic deluxe mac and cheese. A little heavy cream and voila!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
6 oz elbow macaroni
8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tbsp dijon mustard
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup heavy cream
DIRECTIONS
Bring 4 quarts water to a boil.


Add elbows to water and boil for 8 minutes.


After 4 minutes add peas to water and macaroni.


Strain elbows and peas (DO NOT RINSE!)


Put original pot over low heat.


Melt butter.


Add elbows, peas, and mustard.


Stir.


Add cheese.


Stir until melted.


Add heavy cream while stirring until incorporated.


Serve.
