Chile-Ginger Grilled Shrimp with Spicy Asian Salad

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
For the Salad:
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded napa cabbage
1/4 cup bean sprouts
3 green onions, cut into matchstick-size strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger
1 tablespoon minced jalapeno chile
1 tablespoon minced garlic
For the Shrimp:
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
1 1/2 tablespoons minced jalapeno chile
32 large uncooked shrimp (about 1 1/2 pounds), peeled, deveined, tails intact
DIRECTIONS
FOR THE SALAD:
Toss cucumber, cabbage, bean sprouts and green onions in medium bowl. Whisk soy sauce and remaining ingredients in small bowl. Toss salad with enough dressing to moisten. Cover and refrigerate.


FOR THE SHRIMP:
Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Whisk all ingredients but shrimp in large bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Thread 4 shrimp on each of 8 skewers. Grill until shrimp are opaque in center, about 3 minutes per side.


Transfer skewers to plate. Serve grilled shrimp with chilled salad.
