Delight family and guests with this authentic soda fountain treat. All you need is a blender and an appreciative audience standing by, because you must serve this frothy drink immediately. For the perfect slushy-thick texture, be sure not to overmix, and use extra-cold milk.
- 5 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 3/4 cups cold milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 3 1/2 tablespoons malted milk powder
In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup and malted milk powder. Blend until just mixed, with few or no lumps remaining. Serve at once in tall glasses, with a long teaspoon or a straw in each glass.
