CORN CHOWDER

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 lb. pkg.cut up ham(I purchase 1 lb.pkg.of ham seasoning)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, diced
1 potato, diced
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 15 oz. cans cream style corn
1 15 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 quart chicken broth
1 pint Half and Half
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
On medium heat, saute ham seasoning in 5 to 6 quart pot. Add onions and celery and saute another minute or two. Add chicken broth and carrots, bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Add potato and simmer another 15 minutes until tender. Add corn and simmer until heated through. Salt and pepper to taste. Lastly, add half and half until just heated through and serve. Do not bring to a rolling boil after adding half and half.
