These hearty burgers are seasoned with garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning and barbecue sauce for a super-flavorful patty.
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 to 6 shakes Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (like Tony Chachere's)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup hot or hearty barbecue sauce
- 4 kaiser rolls or hamburger buns
In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients ,mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 4 patties.
Place the patties on a grill over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill uncovered 14 to 16 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F, turning once.
Placethe burger patties on buns and serve.
NOTE: Burgers should always be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F using a meat thermometer.
Use a gentle touch with ground beef. Overmixing or compacting will result in firm, dense burgers when cooked.
