Serve this elegant, yet easy, appetizer with one or more of the following toppings: chutney, jalapeño jelly, fruit preserves or salsa.
- One 8-ounce can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
- One 8-ounce round natural brie cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Unroll the dough; separate crosswise into 2 sections. Pat the dough and firmly press the perforations to seal, forming 2 squares. Place 1 square on an ungreased cookie sheet. Place the cheese on the center of the dough.
With a small cookie or canapé cutter, cut 1 shape from each corner of the remaining square; set cutouts aside.
Place the square on top of the cheese round. Press the dough evenly around the cheese; fold the bottom edges over the top edges. Gently stretch the dough evenly around the cheese; press to seal completely. Brush with the beaten egg. Top with cutouts; brush with additional beaten egg.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-24 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Serve warm.
