Crock-Pot Sweet and Sour Chicken

A wonderful, quick way to get my Asian fix at home!
3 chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/3 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
vegetable oil
3/4 cup white sugar
4 Tablespoons ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoons minced garlic
To make the sauce whisk together sugar, ketchup, apple cider

vinegar, soy sauce and garlic. Set aside.

Heat a small

amount of vegetable oil in a skillet (just enough to cover

the bottom of the pan).

Pour the flour in a low, small bowl

and add salt and pepper. Cover the chicken breast chunks

in the flour mixture and shake off the excess.

Add the

chicken to the skillet to brown (the chicken does not have

to be all the way cooked since it will be added to the crock-pot).


the browned chicken to the crock-pot and cover

with the sauce mixture.

Cook on low for 5-6 hours or

on high for 2-3 hours. Serve over rice.
