This is a quick dish to make when you want something, easy, comforting and in less than 20-30 minutes. Pantry friendly!
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. red crushed pepper
1 T. paprika
1 can LeSeur Peas
1 lb. elbow macaroni (or combo of any small tube/shell type pasta)
Grated Parmesan or Romano to taste
Brown ground beef or turkey and season with next 4 ingredients. Boil water (salted) for pasta. Cook pasta just less than al dente and drain reserving 1 cup pasta water. While pasta is cooking, add can of peas with liquid to meat and combine gently. Add cooked pasta to meat mixture with some reserved pasta water to obtain "moist" consistency over low heat. Add cheese as desired.
