Eastern Stew

This recipe has a unique Eastern mild flaor
1 lb of stewing beef
2 Onions
3 medium sized carrots
2 stocks of celery
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 liter chicken stock
1 large can of chopped tomatoes
1 cup of peas
8 small new potatoes
1 heaping teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper fresh ground
a good pinch of nutmeg
1 tsp of Italian herbs
1/2 tsp of Cumin
1 tbsp of dark brown suger
1 cup of Bisquick
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
Brown meat in pan in 3 tbsp of Olive oil and butter mixed

quarter 2 onions leaving one end on to hold the quarters together.

Add mushrooms to fry

now add all the spices

cook until flavours blended

Add in the chicken stock and canned tomatoes

Let simmer until meat is falling apart.

Now you can add carrots peas , celery and potatoes. Simmer until potatoes are nearly done.

Beat the Bisquick, milk and egg together and pour over the stew. Place in a 400 oven for 25 minutes untilBisquick top is brown.
