During harvest time I had to have a good hot meal for my hubby and three small sons. This recipe provided a good hot meal in a short time with little effort.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lbs. Hamburger
1 Onion (rough chopped)
3 or 4 potatoes (peeled and sliced)
3 or 4 carrots (sliced)
1 can of cream of Mushroom or celery soup
DIRECTIONS
Make five hamburger patties. Place in iron skillet and fry on first side. Season with salt and pepper. Turn and immediately add a layer of onions, potatoes and then carrots in that order. Pour soup over the top. Spread soup out and/or add a dash of milk if it seems too thick. Cover skillet and cook on medium for twenty minutes or until the potatoes are done. Serve with a good homemade bread and/or salad.
