Fresh Tomato Salsa

- 5 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1/2 small onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon bottled hot sauce
- Salt, to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, if tomatoes are not in season
In a small bowl, combine the tomatoes, cilantro, vinegar, onions, hot sauce, salt and sugar, if applicable. Let sit at room temperature at least 1 hour.
