FRIED GREEN TOMATOES

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
ANY PANCAKE MIX-about 2 cups
MORTON'S SEASON ALL--about 2 TBS
MILK--package instr.
EGG
5 or 6 MEDIUM TO LARGE GREEN TOMATOES ( or other vegetable of choice, ie: yellow squash, zucchini, etc)
VEGETABLE OR PEANUT OIL
DIRECTIONS
Mix your pancake batter according to package directions, minus a little bit of milk, to make the batter a bit thicker, in a large bowl. Dip the tomatoes, or other chosen vegetable in the batter until well coated. Put coated veggies into the hot oil and cook until golden brown. Remove from oil and let drain either on a paper towel or on a screen ( the kind you might use on a skillet to prevent spatters)


This can be served as a side for picnics or for meals, or as an apetizer. These are great for dipping in your own favorite dip or dressing mix.
