Baking your panckes allows everyone to eat at the same time.
two cups of pancake mix or your own recipe
water or milk called for in the mix
one pealed and cubed apple
four onions
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. butter
6 slices of bacon
6 slices of Swiss cheese cut diagonally in half
1 tsp. carawau seeds
Optional - syrup and/or apple sauce with a hit of

1. Mix and refrigerate the combined pancake mix, liquid and apple.

2. In a small slow cooker, combine onions, oil and butter. Cover and cook on High for 6 to 8 hours overnight. Let cool. Store excess onions in the refrigerator and use in other recipes.


1. Turn oven on to 400-degrees and remove the batter from the refrigerator while you cook the bacon.

2. Fry the bacon until almost crisp in an oven proof 10" frying pan. An iron skillet is best. Remove the bacon and pour off all but one tablespoon of fat.

3. While the pan is still hot pour the batter into the greased frying pan and bake at 400-degrees for 10 minutes. Lower the temperature to 350-degrees and bake another 10 minutes.

4.Remove the pan from the oven (while the over is still on). Place the slices of Swiss cheese in a sprial on top of the cake, sprinkle with some of the onions and caraway seeds. Place the strips of bacon in a sprial over the cheese.

5. Bake the cake another 5 minutes at 350-degrees until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melted.

6. Cut in wedges and serve right from the pan at the table with the toppings mentioned or whatever you usually serve with pancakes.

7. Sit at the table and enjoy your brunch insted of flipping pancakes in the kitchen.
