Are you tired of having extra cookie dough around getting frost-bitten? This recipe eliminates left-over dough and makes just enough for company! Tweak the recipe to the way you want it but this was the perfect recipe for me and my friends! Happy baking!
?1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
?½ tsp. baking soda
?½ tsp. salt
?½ cup butter (softened)
?¼ cup granulated sugar
?¾ cup packed brown sugar
?½ tsp. vanilla extract
?1 large egg
?1 cup (6-oz) Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Morsels
PREHEAT: Oven to 350°

COMBINE: flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add egg, beating well after addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets

BAKE: for 7 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely

MAKES: About 2 dozen cookies

PAN COOKIE VARIATION: Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 18- 27 minutes or until golden brown

MAKES: About 2 dozen bars

I make my cookies in a ceramic bowl and bake them for exactly 12 minutes!! =]

Best. Cookies. Ever. Period.
I made mine extra small with a teaspoon and they were the perfect bite sized treat. I had a little more than half a bag of chocolate chips left (and used them all) so they were extra good. Highly recommended.
