holiday chocolate pumpkin fun pie

Sweet tooth satisfying and festive this pie is fun and easy and fun to make with items you probably have on hand during the holidays. Can also be made with sweet potato instead of pumpkin. Chopped candied pecans may be substituted for the swirl chips.
2-frozen or home made pie shell
1 15-oz can of pumpkin
1 14-oz can of sweetened condensed milk(not evaporated milk)
2 eggs
3 teaspoons of Pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of chinese 5 spice (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup choc chips melted in microwave
1/4 cup choc and white choc swirl chips
1/2 cup rasberry jam heated on low in microwave
place pie shells in pie pans on a foil lined cookie sheet to catch any spills

preheat oven to 450

brush the bottom of each pie shell with melted chocolate chips to coat

mix the eggs, spices, salt, pumpkin and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl untill well mixed

fill the pie shells almost to the top with filling leaving enough room for the jam

swirl in the melted rasberry jam leaving it visable not blended in and sprinkle the swirled chips on top

Place pies in the oven and bake at 450 for 15 minutes then turn the heat down to 350 and contnue to bake them for 30 more minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool for at least one hour.
