People who are afraid of the extreme sweetness of pecan pie will love this elegantly light
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
pastry for one 9' crust pie
3 large eggs
3/4 cup maple syrup (not pancake syrup)
1/2 cup raw honey
1/3 cup softened butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 tsp salt
1/1/2 cups either coarsely chopped or halved pecans

DIRECTIONS
Beat eggs; add maple syrup, honey, sugar, butter and salt.


Beat until combined. Stir in vanilla. Pour pecans into crust, top with beaten mixture.


Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Cover edge of crust with foil


to prevent excessive browning and finish at 350 for 25-30


minutes.

My First Pie
Was very easy to make. Found that pie had heavy sweet maple flavor the next day but by day three the flavor mellowed out and was definitely less sweet than a normal pecan pie. Going to make another liked so much.
