Macaroni Alfredo

A healthy and delicious twist on an all time favorite the cheddar cheese gives a nice kick to the sauce but without the cheese it tastes great!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
3 Tablespoons cream cheese (preferably low fat)
1 cup skim milk
3/4 cup Whole Wheat Macaroni
2 tablespoons half and half milk
1 cup broccoli
1/4 cup low fat grated cheddar cheese if desired
1 teaspoon salt if desired
DIRECTIONS
Use a pot to bring 5 cups of boiling water to a boil before boiling add 1 teaspoon salt to water if desired.


Once water is boiling add macaroni and broccoli let sit for 8-15 minutes. While macaroni cooks mix skim milk, cream cheese, half and half milk, and cheddar cheese if desired.


Once macaroni is cooked strain in strainer then put back into pot, add the skim milk mixture and simmer over low heat until cheese is melted there should be no clumps or strands of cheese. Serve into bowls enjoy!
