Mandel Bread very easy to make and everyone loves it.
1 cup sugar
3 egggs
l cup vegetable oil
3 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup slivered almonds
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Mix eggs, oil and sugar together by hand.

Add flour, vanilla & baking powder

Add chocolate morsels then almonds. Leave in bowl and refrigerate

2 hrs. or overnight.

Preheat oven 350 degrees

Shape into 2 long logs on jelly roll pan. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, drop temperature 325 degrees.

Slice on angle with sharp knife do not seperate, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture and return to oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Do not let burn. Cool, and seperate slices and place on platter.
