Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies

1/2   cup light brown sugar
1/2   cup granulated sugar
3/4   cup salted butter
1     large egg
1     tbs milk (2 tbs at high altitude)
1/2   tsp vanilla
1     tbs fresh orange zest
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2   tsp baking powder
1/2   tsp baking soda
2     cups quick oats
1     cup (or more) Craisins (dried cranberries)
1     cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Soften butter, mix well with sugars.

Mix egg, milk, vanilla, zest with butter and sugar.

Sift flour baking soda, baking powder together and mix with other ingredients.

Mix in oats.

Fold in Crasins and walnuts.

Drop 1 to 1 1/4 balls on parchment covered cookie sheet.

Bake 14 to 16 minutes.

Let cool on cookie sheet until firm.

Transfer cookies and parchment to cooling rack.

Remove parchment paper.

Let stand until cooled completely.

Store separated by parchment paper.
