Old Fashioned Baked Chicken
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 Whole Chicken (washed, cut up)
2 Cups Canola Oil
3 Cups Flour
1/2 Stick butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Wash and cut into pieces one whole chicken. Dredge the chicken in flour (Remove the skin if desired). Brown the chicken in a covered fry pan with 2 cups canola oil turning pieces to brown all sides. Remove from the oil and drain. In a glass baking dish slice the 1/2 stick of butter evenly in pats. Place the chicken in the dish and cover with tin foil. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. (The drippings are fantastic if you wish to make a rue for gravy)
