Orange Cranberry Scones

  12 servings
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup dried cranberries
I egg
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons beaten eggs with 1 tablespoon half and half
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Add cranberries. Mix juice and 1 egg together. Add wet to dry until just combined. Knead about 10 times on floured board. Cut in 2 pieces. Shape each piece into a round disk. Cut each disk into 6 pie shape pieces.

Brush tops w/ beaten egg mixture. Bake about 20 minutes or until golden.

Great scones - and they look good too!
My daughter and I made these for a company party and they were easy to make, plus they looked like we bought them at Starbucks! Everyone was very impressed. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
