This is my sons' favorate meal. I serve it with lots if mashed potatoes and a side salad for both their birthday. It is a good hearty meal with lots of flavor. The meat seems to be more tender when I start it frozen.
Large rump roast (frozen)
1 can campbel's tomato soup
1/3 cup Wishbone Italian dessing
1 skinned whole onion
granulated beef bullion to taste
1T corn starch
1c water
put frozen roast into crockpot

add next 3 ingredients

Cook on low or warm for 8 hrs.


remove liquid from pot and put into large pan on stove. mix cornstarch with cold water- add to meat liquid -add bullion. Heat to a boil stirring all the time. Gravy should thicken nicely. Add salt/pepper to taste.

My mom is correct this is the best and most hearty meal ever. All my friends and I have been devouring it every year on my birthday for years now. She didn't mention the green beans that she makes with them also. Nothing fancy about them but I like to mix the potatoes, green beans and meat all together and enjoy! Its an "easy" meal that is delicious. Love Ya Mom!
