Picadillo | Oraganic Turkey Picadillo from Ilaian Morris at The Iliana Project! This is an amazing organic Latin dish!
The Ingredients:
Natural or Organic (if available) ground t
urkey, sea salt, organic black pepper, organic garlic powde
r, organic grapeseed oil,organic onions, organic green pepp
er, organic fresh garlic cloves,organic potatoes, organic d
iced tomatoes, organic tomato sauce, "sofrito" organic cila
PRE-PREP **Sofrito** All Organic if possible ( Half of an Onion

– 1.5 green peppers – 1 red pepper (optional) – Sea Salt

and Black Pepper (to taste) – Two Cloves Fresh Garlic – Olive

Oil ( add sparingly as you go, to avoid using too much,

not too thick & not too watery) Blend in food processor,

only one tablespoon was used in this recipe

Start with

lb All natural ground turkey in frying pan.

-cook the

meat on medium until you don't see any red or raw parts in

the meat - about 5 minutes. While it's cooking stir in some

sea salt, black pepper and garlic powder (add additional

seasoning to your liking) Now turn the heat down to low to

avoid overcooking.

Next - add in 2 tbsp natural grapeseed

oil…use organic if you can - stir for 30 seconds.


add ¼ cup organic finely chopped onions stir in for 30


Next add you ( pre-prepped) 1-2 tbsp organic


After you stir in the Sofrito for about 1 minute


-2 medium organic chopped potatoes

-1 can organic

diced tomatoes-drained

-1 can organic tomato sauce


powder-season to taste

-Sea salt-season to taste


pepper season to taste

Add Organic Chicken Broth - eyeball

your amount based on pan size, don't drown the meat,

but also be aware that the potatoes will absorb the chicken

broth as it cooks.

Stir for about 2 minutes.

Stir for 30 seconds - then taste (

be careful it's hot ) add more seasonings to your liking and

serve it up!!

PS. This Dish goes great over Organic

Brown Rice, Quinoa or even over lettuce as a Picadillo Taco

Salad without the shell!
