Pistachio Cheese Cake

I run a small catering business from my home and created this recipe one day while experimenting and since then it has been a huge hit at any and every occassion. I promise you will not regret it.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
PART 1
1 Cup Flour
2 Teaspoon Sugar
1/4 Cup Margarine (Melted)
3/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts
PART II
1 Package (8oz) Low Fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 Contents of Large (16 oz) Container  Fat free Cool Whip (store balance in refrigerator for later use)
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
PART III
2 Boxes Sugar Free Pistachio Instant  Pudding
2 1/2 Cups Cold Milk (1 or 2%)
PART IV
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Mix well, all ingredients of part one (flour, sugar, melted margarine, and chopped walnuts)and press into the bottom of 9 x 12 slightly buttered glass pan.


Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.


Remove from oven and let cool of at least 30 minutes.


Combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 container of cool whip and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla in mixing bowl and beat well on medium speed with hand mixer for aboutthree minutes, scraping bowl occassionally; untill well blended and mixture is light and creamy. Pour over part one (baked crust), and spread evenly.


Prepare part three (pistachio instant pudding and cold milk) according to package instructions. Mix on medium speed with hand mixer until thick and pour over part two (2).


Whip the other 1/2 contents of cool whip and pour over part three. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of chopped walnts. Refrigerate for about an hour before serving.

Not really an "original"
I too have been making this recipe for over 25 years. I got it from a co-worker who got it from his mother (and she'd been making it for many years). I agree, however, that it's a favorite anytime, anywhere. I've also made it using chocolate pudding, which was delicious as well.
