Recipe is made from leftover roast beef and mashed potatoes.
1   cup chopped onions
2   tablespoons butter
1   tablespoon flour
1   can condensed beef consomme (undiluted)
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
3/4 cup hamburger dill pickle slices
* l lb. (2 cups) cooked sliced roast beef
mashed potatoes
Saute' onions in butter till golden. Gradually stir flour into onions. Add soup, ketchup, salt and pepper, stir until blended. Cover and simmer 25 minutes.

In a 10" x 6" baking dish,arrange slice beef overlapping each other. Add pickles throughout the layering of the sliced beef. Pour sauce over the beef and pickles. Top with mashed potatoes, leaving a 2" hole in middle of dish.

Bake 450 degrees until bubbly hot. Approximately 20 - 30 minutes.

* Great made with leftover roast beef from a pot roast.
