Roasted Cumin Sweet Potato Fries

Cumin adds depth to sweet potato fries.


  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 large sweet potato (red-skinned yam), cut into1/4-inch thin strips
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste


Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Combine the oil and cumin in a small bowl. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and drizzle the seasoned oil over the strips. Toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

Roast, turning and stirring the potatoes once, until potatoes are browned and tender, about 20 minutes.
