Roman Style Semolina Gnocchi

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 small onion
½  bay leaf
3 ¾  cups of milk
¾  cup of semolina
salt and freshly ground pepper
½  cup grated parmesan cheese
30 g butter
Tomato sauce
1 kg ripe red tomatoes
3 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
A few basil leaves or a sprig of thyme
DIRECTIONS
Step 1


Peel and halve the onion and place in a heavy pan with the bay leaf and milk. Bring slowly to the boil to allow milk to absorb flavours. Remove seasonings and stir in the semolina gradu
