Savory Cream Corn

What is summer without corn??!! This homemade cream style corn is the perfect side dish for anything cooked on the grill.
6 ears sweet corn
1/4 cup sugar or sugar substitute
2-3 cusps heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter
salt & pepper to taste
Shuck and clean ears of corn, remove kernels from cob into a large bowl

Add sugar

Salt and pepper corn to taste

Add 2-3 cups of heavy whipping cream making sure the corn is well coated and there is a soupy consitency

Stir and blend all ingredients

Let stand while you prepare the rest of the recipe

Dice onion

Melt butter in large skillet

Add onions and cook until translucent

Add corn mixture

Once the corn begins to boil reduce heat to low, cover skillet

Note: watch skillet careful, mixture will overflow until the temperature subsides

Cook for approximately 1 hour, stiring occassional, cook until corn is tender
