This is a quick, easy recipe that my step-mom "invented" when I was a kid. I hadn't had it in about 20 years. I searched high and low for the recipe, and realized that she'd made it, and no one else had heard of it. I finally figured out how to make it, s
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1lb ground beef
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 medium onion (diced)
2-3 cloves of garlic (chopped or pressed)
1 28oz can of Van Camp's pork and beans
salt and pepper to taste
Your favorite hamburger buns
DIRECTIONS
In a heavy bottomed pan or pot (I like to do this in my dutch oven) heat the olive oil on medium high.

Sautee the onions until translucent.

Put in the hamburger and garlic, and cook until burger is browned.

Drain off the fat and stir in the pork and beans.

Cover and cook for 10-20 minutes on low heat to soften beans.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve on hamburger buns (steamed is best).
