Smothered Country Ribs with Cabbage and Potatoes

Smotherd Country Ribs with Cabbage and Potatoe's. " Your One Pot Meal"
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
6 Country Ribs medium
1 Head of Cabbage
1 Onion (white or yellow)
6 medium white potatoes
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1-1/2 onion powder
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup of oil
1 cup of flour
DIRECTIONS
Place flour in a zip lock bag adding 1/2 teaspoon of salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, incorporate together with flour in the bag. Season country ribs with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Heat oil in dutch oven medium high. Coat each rib in flour. When oil is hot, brown each country rib on both sides, do not overcook them. After ribs are brown, set each one aside. After all ribs are browned, drain oil, then place all country ribs back into dutch oven, adding potatoes. Fill with water half way and place into preheated 300 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes with lid on. Ribs are done when they are almost falling apart. Take ribs and potatoes out of dutch oven and place aside. Turn stove to medium high, using drippings left from ribs, cut up cabbage and onions and use the remainder seasoning along with 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to cook cabbage. Just before cabbage is cooked, place ribs on top of cabbage and let simmer for 15 minutes. Season to taste!
