RECIPE INGREDIENTS
2 lbs ground beef (80% Lean)
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 (29 ounce) can kidney beans (with liquid)
1 cup diced yellow onion (1 medium onion)
1/2 cup diced green chili peppers (4oz. can chopped)
1/2 cup diced celery (2 stalks)
3 medium tomatoes, chopped (or a 16oz. can)
2 teaspoons cumin powder
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.


Drain off the fat and set aside.


In a large pot, combine the all the ingredients (not the beef), and bring to a simmer over low heat.


*Cook on low, stirring every 15 minutes, for 1 hour.


Add the cooked ground beef before the last 1/2 hour.


*If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 8 hours add beef before the last 1 hour.
