This is a recipe my mother made and I just did the same thing except I most times use garlic powder. My family loved it and it couln't have been more simple! I used to make this every Mardi Gras along with potato salad for my family and friends. Enjoy!!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1-3 pound fryer
Bisquick
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Crisco
DIRECTIONS
Cut chicken into 8 pieces. Wash and dry. In a paper or plastic bag, mix Bisquick, garlic powder, salt and pepper*. Add 2 pieces at a time and shake until covered. Place 4 pieces in a dutch oven of hot Crisco oil (425 degrees), and fry until crisp. Drain on a grate until ready to serve.

*Note-You can take a pinch of the Bisquick along with the seasonings and taste to make sure the seasoning is correct.
