Sweet almond glaced blueberry bunt cake

The combination of blueberries and almonds in this old-fashioned bundt cake is sure to be a hit.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup almond paste
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tbsp baking powder
3/4 cup blueberries
almond glaze
1 cup sifted(powdered) sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup sliced almonds
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 325F.


Pulse the almond paste and sugar together in a food processor until fine grained and mixed.


Add the oil, egg, milk, sour cream, and almond extract and blend until blended.


Transfer to a bowl and add flour nutmeg, cinnamon, and baking powder and stir until dry ingredients are just moistened.


Gently fold in the blueberries.


Place batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan and bake for 45 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.


Allow to cool in pan.


To make the almond glaze, stir together all of the ingredients.


When cake is cool, remove from pan and brush top with toasted almond glaze.


Sprinkle glaze with almonds
