The Best Pumpkin Pie

I have never seen my recipe for pumpkin pie anywhere else and I guarantee if you follow the directions, you will never make another kind. This pie comes out DARK and delicious. No light colored tasteless version here.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 ½ cups of canned or cooked and mashed pumpkin (1 can)
1 cup sugar
¾ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground clove
½ tsp allspice
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs (extra large or jumbo)
1 can evaporated milk
Pie Crust:
2 Cups flour
½ cup Crisco oil + 1-2 tlbs more
¼ cup milk
¼ tsp salt

DIRECTIONS
Pie Crust:


Blend, kneed until fully mixed. Form ball, roll out between 2 sheets of wax paper. Flip into pie plate and trim.


Pie Assembly:


Put all ingredients into a blender and blend well. Let set and come close to room temperature.


Pour blended ingredients into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle the top with additional nutmeg and cinnamon and also raw sugar just prior to putting in oven.


Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake for another 35-40 minutes until the center of the pie is set.

Not bad...
The custard was just fine - though just a tad on the over-spicy end. The crust came out better than I expected given that it takes oil instead of butter or shortening. It was definitely an easy recipe, and I'd make it again with some minor adjustments.
